Welcome Class of 2029!

Welcome Weekend Student Leaders:

We have so many people who want to get to know you, so we want to share more about a few different groups of people helping you to get comfortable on campus.
  1. First, there will be the Hall Staff Team (7) (the Rector, Asst. Rectors and Resident Assistants).  They will be on the floors, answering questions, making you feel comfortable and hopefully anticipating as many needs as possible.
  2. Then, we have the St. Andre Welcome Team (12) leading programming, unloading cars, and helping to welcome you throughout the weekend and, honestly, the whole first year. Look out for communication from this year's St. Andre Co-Chairs Charlotte Nolan ([email protected]) & Molly Kenney ([email protected])! SCROLL TO SEE TEAM BIOS BELOW!
  3. Last, but not least, we have our "Lift, Loft, Love" Crew!  These folks help you on Friday morning to unload items in your room, share the best way to arrange your furniture and help to loft or bunk (or deloft/debunk) your beds.  They are our extra muscles, because our one elevator is small and time is limited!

Welcome Weekend 2025:

The Welcome Week team has been working hard on an amazing schedule of activities that are both informational and fun for your weekend! We'll welcome you to the hall with plenty of time for Q&A and also introduce you to beloved dorm traditions and fun ways to get to know your fellow Walshies!
Check out the following links to be sure to get the latest information!
  • Welcome Weekend at Notre Dame, 2025
  • Move-In Information for First Year Students
  • Campus Access for Move-In
  • Get the App!
Remember to complete these two things BEFORE you arrive to campus:
  1. Label all your luggage/bags with your last name AND room number
  2. Connect/Chat with your roommate(s)!

Mailing and Packages:

UPS, FedEx, and Amazon deliver packages directly to your door. USPS (regular mail) and other carriers will deliver packages to the central mailing facility, which will then be delivered to each hall's mail room.  You will get an email from a Walsh mail clerk student worker whenever you receive a package, so you'll go to retrieve it during the designated package hour every day (TBD for 2025-2026).  You can find letters and smaller items in your mailbox next to the elevator on the 1st floor.

DO NOT mail packages to your room over the summer.  The hall is usually used by other groups for various camps and conferences.  The earliest you can have packages arrive is Monday, August 25. For addressing purposes, the United States Postal Service (USPS) requires you to use the following format:
