In 2016-2017, Walsh got AN EXTREME HALL MAKEOVER!
We are so grateful that the university heard our pleas for renewing our beloved home, and during the academic year of 2016-2017, we were the first hall to ever undergo such an intensive renovation in the history at the University. So, the Walsh community of women lived in Pangborn Hall, just across the Quad, for one year until the Walsh Renovation Makeover was completed for August 2017.
As the 2015 Hall of the Year, 2016 AND 2018 Women's Hall of the Year, we know that Walsh has always been more than a building and we are confident that we can be W.I.L.D. anywhere!

Text: We are gathered here today in front of our beautiful home! Walsh Hall, established in 1909, has been home to men and women for over 100 years! In 2016, Walsh Hall residents were told that their beloved home would be renovated the following academic year. On that cold Wednesday in January, screams and cries of despair echoed through the halls. As we came to terms with our Great Migration, we realized that it was definitely time to get rid of Walsh’s: Bats, Falling Ceilings, Moldy Bathrooms, Banging Radiators, Broken Windows … and…. Cockroaches. One year ago today, your Walsh sisters mourned the temporary loss of our building with a short memorial service. In that time, our year in Pangborn was one for the books. Walsh Community persevered and Walsh Love thrived. Now we are back and all of the things we love about Walsh are still here, just with a fresh coat of paint. Welcome to your new and forever home!
